Saturday, February 17, 2024, the Muskegon GOP held its very first event where the main focus was "having fun", rather than politics. The Valentine's Dinner and Dance was held at the Lotus Room Event Center in Norton Shores, and was a highly welcomed relief from the usual politically focused events, especially amidst the mental drain and anguish inflicting all of us with the State Party crisis.
However, you can't get a room full of Republicans together without a little bit of political nuance, therefore, candidates were invited to give brief speeches regarding their campaigns. The candidates present were Sherry O'Donnell; U.S. Senate Candidate, Luke Meerman; Representative for the 89th House District Michael Markey & Jason Ickes; 3rd Congressional District Candidates, and Ottawa County Prosecutor Candidate: Gregg Todd.
We want to thank Deb Null for the idea and organizing the Valentine's Dinner & Dancing Event. Everyone had a great time and as you can see from the pictures below, the dancing was a huge hit!
